Japan and Hong Kong Sign Tax Treaty

Japan and Hong Kong recently signed a tax treaty (Double Taxation Agreement, or DTA), covering double-taxation policy, information exchange agreements, and various other tax related items.  Both jurisdictions had agreed on most terms of the agreement in early 2010, with the finalized version of the agreement signed on November 9, 2010.
